San Diego Trip

The whole alliance left the grey Pacific Northwest for the sunny/grey skies of Southern California.  We took a trip to visit Sarah, Bobby and Mason in San Diego and had a great time.  While we were there, we went to the San Diego Zoo, spent some time at Coronado beach and ate some tasty Mexican cuisine.

Trip to the Zoo

Seattle has had a lot of sun the past few days.  What better way to enjoy the sun, than taking a stroll through the zoo.  This was Jessica and Oscar's first trip to the Woodland Park Zoo.  The first stop was the penguins and Oscar nearly jumped out of his stroller in excitement as they swam past him behind the glass.

We met Greg, Paige and Archer and continued enjoying the sites.  Oscar loved the meerkats and the bears.  Also, he really liked the soft pretzels.  Evan and I were taken with the peacock and the rapters.  We are now members, so if you want to go to the zoo, we're happy to join you.  Below are a few pictures from our adventure.

The view is pretty good from here!

Art

"It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child."
- Pablo Picasso

Oscar has one up on Mr. Picasso since he is, in fact, a child.  At day care, Oscar has become quite the artist and does a lot of his work there.  His main medium is crayon on rough paper but who knows where his creativity will take him.  I hope you enjoy these great abstract works as much as I do.  Normally, we would be auctioning these at Christie's for millions of dollars but their sentimental value is too high to put a price on them.
