A few weeks ago, the alliance made its way to Steamboat Rock for a weekend of camping, hiking and outdoor fun! It was lovely to get outside, relax and spend time together away from home. Oscar settled in right away, getting dirty, setting up the tent and relaxing. We vowed to go at least one more time this summer, with our fingers crossed for more than that. Some things that I learned on this trip, that other families might appreciate when camping with a toddler.
1) naps might not happen
2) don't force your little one to sleep at his normal bedtime
3) toddlers can do dishes and like to help out A LOT
4) keep sugar to a minimum
5) don't forget the butter
6) relax and spend time with your friends
